The Bible says that Mary brought forth a son, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and his name was Jesus. "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 'Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us'" (Matt. 1:20-23).
He is the "King of Kings, and Lord of Lords" (Rev. 19:16). He is the "Savior of the world" (John 4:42). He's the Lion of Judah (Rev. 5:5) and "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29, Rev. 5:6). He is the Ark of the Covenant in that He is the fulfillment of the law (Deut. 10:1-4); the manna (Ex. 16:33), the "bread of God which cometh down from heaven" (John 6:33); and He is the rod of Aaron that blossomed in the wilderness (Ex. 17:8-10, Heb. 9:4). He is also like the Ark of Noah. In the time of the end, He will keep His people safe from the flood of Satan's mouth (Rev. 12:15-16) just as "eight souls were saved by water" (I Pet. 3:20) in an earlier time of the great flood. God warned the world of the flood through Noah, "a preacher of righteousness" (II Pet. 2:5) by telling them what was to come. He has always given the world ample notice and fair warning before He takes any action whatsoever. Amos says, "surely the Lord God Almighty will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7).
There are many prophecies in the Old Testament that point the way to Jesus and to the time of the end. And in the New Testament, Jesus Himself gives us the signs of the end of the world and of His coming in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Other New Testament writers, especially Peter and Paul, speak of it as well. But, the Book of Revelation is the most beautiful, majestic description Jesus gives us, "to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass" (Rev. 1:1).
Many people today, believers and sinners alike, have a strange feeling that things are coming to an end. It's not only those "weird Christians" who talk about it any more. We hear it in a lot of places. Anyone who takes a long, hard look at the world today knows that it is sick! It doesn't take a lot of in-depth knowledge of prophecy, or scripture, to see that the world is in a mess. It becomes more evil everyday. And, we can be sure that God will not put up with it forever!
The end is near; and we should rejoice that the evil of the world will not last forever. Soon, "the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" (II Thess. 1:7-8). He will come; but not before a time of "great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time" (Matt. 24:21). Through that time of tribulation, the church will be on earth. The true believers, the Overcomers, will refuse to take the Mark of the Beast (Rev. 13:16-18) and will suffer persecution at the hands of the Antichrist (Dan. 7:21, Rev. 13:7). They will "endure unto the end" (Matt. 24:13) and as the Revelation tells us, they will come "out of great tribulation (having) washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Rev. 7:14).
Right now, God is calling His people to a closer walk with Him: to a higher place. Jesus says, "the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him" (John 4:23). God wants us, through the spirit of Christ, to come into total unity with Him and the Father. Jesus says that He and the Father are One; and He wants us to be One with them. He says, "I pray not for the world" (John 17:9). But for the disciples, and "for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us" (John 17:20-21).
The time is short! The Mark of the Beast is coming! Prepare now to "meet your God" (Amos 4:12).

Jesus is God (John 1:1).
